Verisimilitude (2015)

This one is a bit like The Seasons: not the kind of music I'm usually interested in. I never do humor in music, but there are quite a few humorous moments in this piece. I don't like music that looks back on itself and comments on its performance, but this piece makes fun of ensemble playing. I don't think I've ever made a piece directly traceable to someone else's work, but this one is definitely influenced by Carey Blyton's music for a 1974 episode of Doctor Who. I've seen it on VHS when I was a kid, and the rather odd music must have made a very solid impression.
