Portland Thanksgiving Canon |

One of many occasional canons I've composed over the years, this one is a double canon made as a Thanksgiving gift for a friend. One of the themes is borrowed from their unpublished piano piece, and the title refers to that piece's creation (which happened in Portland, OR). It was the first time I managed a double canon, and I really like how the canonic process is completely hidden from the listener. The piece was first performed by Carson Cooman, and published by him on Thanksgiving in 2021. The video is available below.
